International Students

Western Sydney Institute offers demand driven vocational courses which help you gain a qualification to match your desired career. You can choose from over 100 courses across a wide range of study areas.

Our international students, who come from over 43 countries, are only a small percentage of our student population. This will ensure that you will not only be immersed in the Australian way of life but also introduced to students of many different backgrounds and nationalities. TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute is a wonderful meeting place and provides a great opportunity, in a safe environment, to make friends.

Three of the colleges in Western Sydney Institute share campuses with the Western Sydney University (WSU) and the other colleges are close by making it an attractive location for those seeking Diploma-to-Degree (D2D) university pathways.

Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice 2007.

For further information please refer to Education Services for Overseas Students.

International students studying in TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute will be given information at their orientation about their rights and responsibilities with regard to this legislation.
