Away from the noise of downtown Sydney, The Hills District in north-west Sydney boasts innovative technology companies and some of Sydney’s best shopping. And it is in this beautiful area where you will find the two campuses of The Hills College: Baulkham Hills campus and Castle Hill campus.
The Hills College is an easy 20-minute bus trip to Parramatta, which is fast-developing as Sydney’s ‘second’ business district. There are many employment opportunities in Parramatta, as well as excellent shopping, nightlife and restaurants.
The Hills College boasts multi-million dollar facilities and offers a superb range of services to about 4500 students. International students have the opportunity to study Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level courses in the following areas:

Part of The Hills College’s commitment to ‘real-world’ training and education is the restaurant, 21fiftythree. This fully-licensed, à la carte restaurant is open to the general public for lunch and dinner. Students learn exactly what they need to know – all part of the commitment of TAFE NSW to innovative hospitality programs. Students study, train and apply their skills under the expert care of our chefs and hospitality staff. Students also undertake their work placement in the restaurant, practicing their excellent culinary skills and professional food and beverage service in a real working environment.
Travel to your future
Innovative and advanced education programs are constantly refined by The Hills College Tourism section. Known as Travel 21fiftythree, this section was presented with the Gold award in the category of Tourism Education and Training at the 2010 Greater Sydney Tourism Awards. It has been a finalist and winner in the New South Wales Tourism awards – the third time Travel 21fiftythree has won this award since 2006.
Career in nursing
Our Castle Hill Campus offers the high demand Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) which is of 6 months duration. Students will be required to undertake a clinical work placement of 50 hours in a health care facility. A minimum of 37 of these work placement hours must be undertaken in an acute care facility. This work placement will be organised by the College staff.
